How does data transmission connector work?

Since the beginning of the new century, data transfer connectors have become an essential part of life, even if you may not know it. What are the types of data transfer connectors? What types of data transfer connectors are included?

  • How does the data transfer connector work?

  • What are the factors that influence the signal transmission?

How does the data transfer connector work?

Data transmission (also known as data communication or digital communication) refers to data transmission through point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communication channels (digital bit streams or digital analog signals). Examples of such channels are copper, optical fiber, wireless communication channels, storage media, and computer buses. The data are represented as electromagnetic signals, such as voltage, radio waves, microwaves or infrared signals. Analog or analog transmission is a method of transmitting speech, data, images, signals, or video information using a continuous signal whose amplitude, phase, or some other property varies in proportion to the size of the variable. Using a digital modulation method, messages are represented by lines of code through an impulse train (baseband transmission) or through a finite set of continuously varying waveforms (passband transmission). Passband modulation and the corresponding demodulation (also known as detection) are performed by the modem device. According to the most common definition of digital signal, baseband and passband signals representing bit streams are considered as digital transmission, while the other definition only considers baseband signals as digital, while passband transmission of digital data is considered as a form of digital-to-analog conversion. The data transferred can be numeric messages from a data source, such as a computer or a keyboard. It can also be an analog signal, such as a telephone or video signal, such as a bitstream scheme digitized using pulse code modulation (PCM) or more advanced source coding (analog-to-digital conversion and data compression). The source encoding and decoding are performed by the codec device.

What are the factors that influence the signal transmission?

1.Bandwidth. It refers to the data carrying capacity of the channel or medium. Higher bandwidth communication channels support higher data rates.

2. Radiation. It refers to the leakage of signals from the medium due to the poor electrical properties of the medium.

3. Absorb the noise. It refers to the sensitivity of the medium to external electrical noise that may distort the data signal.

4. Attenuation. It refers to the loss of energy as the signal travels outward. The amount of energy lost depends on the frequency. The radiation and physical properties of the medium cause attenuation.

The above briefly introduced to you the knowledge related to data transmission connector , but if you really need to buy signal transmission related products, you should do more detailed investigation and research.
