Q: What is the contact resistance requirement of this HRB 2.0mm wire-to-wire waterproof connector?
A: The low-signal level contact resistance is max 10mΩ initially, and max 20mΩ after testing. It is measured under dry circuit
conditions: 20mV max, 10mA max, with wire & trace resistance excluded from readings.
Q: What wire gauge can this connector accept? What is the insulation diameter range?
A: This connector supports wire conductor of AWG#22 ~ AWG#24, the outer diameter of wire insulation ranges from 1.3 mm to
1.7 mm.
Q: What is the temperature rise specification for this HRB 2.0mm wire-to-wire waterproof connector?
A: Temperature rise test is conducted under still air lab environment with 22 AWG wire and 3A DC rated current. The maximum allowable temperature rise ΔT is 30°C.
Q: What are the insertion and withdrawal force specifications for this HRB 2.0mm wire-to-wire waterproof connector?
A: The test is performed at 5 ± 2 mm/sec with all locks disengaged. Per pin insertion force max 8N, per pin withdrawal force min 0.98N.
Q: What is the crimp terminal retention force in housing for this HRB waterproof connector?
A: Axial pullout test is performed at 25.4 ± 6 mm/min. The minimum terminal retention force inside the housing is 24.5 N.
Q: What is the housing lock strength specification of this HRB waterproof connector?
A: After mating the connector, apply axial pull-out force opposite to insertion direction at 1~5 mm/sec. The lock strength ≥ 50 N.
Q: What is the vibration test requirement and vibration class for this HRB waterproof connector?
A: Vibration Class V3. Mated connectors are tested on X/Y/Z three axes. Sweep 10 Hz ~ 500 Hz and back to 10 Hz within 15 mins per cycle, 12 cycles per axis (36 cycles total), acceleration 98 m/s⊃2;. Acceptance: no damage; initial contact resistance ≤10 mΩ, final ≤20 mΩ; electrical discontinuity ≤1 microsecond.
Q: What is the thermal shock test requirement for this HRB waterproof connector?
A: Unmated samples undergo 48 thermal shock cycles between -40°C and 105°C, with 30 minutes dwell time at each extreme temperature. Acceptance criteria: initial contact resistance ≤10 mΩ, final ≤20 mΩ; initial insulation resistance ≥1000 MΩ, final ≥500 MΩ; no breakdown at 1000 VAC dielectric withstanding voltage test.
Q: What is the heat resistance (high temperature aging) test requirement for this HRB waterproof connector?
A: Mated connectors are exposed at 105°C for 240 hours. Acceptance criteria: initial contact resistance ≤10 mΩ, final contact resistance ≤20 mΩ.
